Abstract[English]
A method and system for extraction of text from a video for performing selective searching of text in the video is disclosed. The disclosure provides a text extraction device (702) which receives a plurality of frames of a video. The frames may include at least one set of interrelated frames comprising a common text. A reference frame is identified comprising a reference pattern of a text in the frames. The reference pattern is matched with a pattern associated with a text within each of the frames. In order to do so, one or more interrelated frames are identified from the frames based on a pattern match. A set of interrelated frames is obtained comprising a text having a pattern matching the reference pattern. A relevant frame from the set of interrelated frames is selected based on text quality criteria and the common text is extracted from the relevant frame.[French]
Un procédé et un système d'extraction de texte d'une vidéo permettant d'effectuer une recherche sélective de texte dans la vidéo sont divulgués. La divulgation concerne un dispositif d'extraction de texte (702) qui reçoit une pluralité de trames d'une vidéo. Les trames peuvent comporter au moins un ensemble de trames interdépendantes comprenant un texte commun. Une trame de référence est identifiée comprenant un motif de référence d'un texte dans les trames. Le motif de référence est mis en correspondance avec un motif associé à un texte dans chacune des trames. Pour ce faire, une ou plusieurs trames interdépendantes sont identifiées à partir des trames sur la base d'une mise en correspondance de motifs. Un ensemble de trames interdépendantes est obtenu comprenant un texte présentant un motif en correspondance avec le motif de référence. Une trame pertinente de l'ensemble de trames interdépendantes est sélectionnée sur la base de critères de qualité de texte et le texte commun est extrait de la trame pertinente.
