Abstract[English]
A method for determining a location of a transducer on a subject's body for applying tumor treating fields. The method comprises determining a near-surface portion of a tumor in the subject's body, the near-surface portion of the tumor closer to a surface of the subject's body than other portions of the tumor; determining a near-tumor position on the subject's body, the near-tumor position on the subject's body closer to the near-surface portion of the tumor than other positions of the subject's body; determining an outer perimeter of the transducer, the transducer comprising a plurality of electrode elements electrically coupled to each other, the plurality of electrode elements of the transducer being located within the outer perimeter; and identifying a portion of the outer perimeter of the transducer to be located substantially at the near-tumor position on the subject's body.[French]
L'invention concerne une méthode de détermination d'un emplacement d'un transducteur sur le corps d'un sujet pour appliquer des champs de traitement de tumeur. La méthode consiste à déterminer une partie proche de la surface d'une tumeur dans le corps du sujet, la partie proche de la surface de la tumeur étant plus proche d'une surface du corps du sujet que d'autres parties de la tumeur; déterminer une position proche de la tumeur sur le corps du sujet, la position proche de la tumeur sur le corps du sujet étant plus proche de la partie proche de la surface de la tumeur que d'autres positions du corps du sujet; déterminer un périmètre externe du transducteur, le transducteur comprenant une pluralité d'éléments d'électrode couplés électriquement l'un à l'autre, la pluralité d'éléments d'électrode du transducteur étant situés à l'intérieur du périmètre externe; et identifier une partie du périmètre externe du transducteur devant être placée sensiblement au niveau de la position proche de la tumeur sur le corps du sujet.
