Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. In a boundary region (302) between first and second broadcast stations (304) in which a receiver (300) can pick up signals from both stations, a primary tuner (502) receiving signals from plural antennae (506) presents (600/804) a demanded service while a secondary tuner (502) uses a single antenna (506) to scan (602/806) for duplicate transmissions of the service, with handing off (820-824) between the tuners being effected between scanning and service presentation.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à étendre et/ou à améliorer le protocole de télévision ATSC (Comité des systèmes de télévision avancés) 3.0, par la fourniture efficace des services de diffusion télévisée de nouvelle génération. Dans une région limite (302) entre des première et seconde stations de diffusion (304) dans laquelle un récepteur (300) peut capter des signaux provenant des deux stations, un syntoniseur primaire (502) recevant des signaux en provenance de plusieurs antennes (506) présente (600/804) un service demandé tandis qu'un syntoniseur secondaire (502) utilise une seule antenne (506) pour balayer (602/806) des doublons de transmission du service, le transfert (820-824) entre les syntoniseurs étant effectué entre le balayage et la présentation de service.
