Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. In a boundary region (302) between first and second broadcast stations (304) in which a receiver (300) can pick up signals from both stations, a primary tuner (502) presents (900) a demanded service while a secondary tuner (502) scans (902) for duplicate transmissions of the service, and if one is found, the version with the better quality metrics may be presented.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à étendre et/ou améliorer le protocole de télévision ATSC (Comité des systèmes de télévision avancés) 3.0, par la fourniture robuste des services de diffusion télévisée de nouvelle génération.
