Abstract[English]
A quick installation pipe coupling comprises a supporting barrier ring (B) that is located between a gasket (C) and a bottom wall of an annular channel (10) that is defined by housing segments (A) in between arcuate engaging shoulders (11) thereof. The supporting barrier ring (B) extends as a protective barrier circumferentially around an outer surface of the gasket (C), and is dimensioned and configured to support the housing segments (A) spaced-apart in a pre-assembled ready for installation state of the coupling with their arcuate engaging shoulders (11) delimiting insertion openings (25) towards the central space that are larger than cross-sectional dimensions of the pipe ends before tightening of connection members (D, E).[French]
