Abstract[English]
A connecting apparatus comprises a support member (12) and a securing arrangement (16) to secure the support member (12) to an elongate member (14). The securing arrangement (16) comprises a clamping arrangement comprising a body (36) having an internal converging wall arrangement (42). The converging wall arrangement (42) defines a passage (44) for receiving the elongate member (14) therethrough. The clamping arrangement further includes a clamping member (48) in the passage (44). The clamping member (48) is movable along the passage (44) in a clamping direction to clamp the elongate member (14).[French]
