Abstract[English]
A poly(phenylene ether)-based composition exhibiting improved resistance to decomposition after repeated exposure to high voltages is prepared by melt-blending specific amounts of a poly(phenylene ether), an organophosphate ester flame retardant, and a surface energy reducing agent. The composition includes no more than 30 weight percent of mineral filler. Also described is an injection molded article prepared from the composition.[French]
L'invention concerne une composition à base de poly(éther de phénylène) présentant une résistance améliorée à la décomposition après une exposition répétée à des tensions élevées, préparée par mélange à l'état fondu de quantités spécifiques d'un poly(éther de phénylène), d'un retardateur de flamme à base d'ester d'organophosphate et d'un agent de réduction d'énergie de surface. La composition ne comprend pas plus de 30 pour cent en poids de charge minérale. L'invention concerne également un article moulé par injection préparé à partir de la composition.
