Abstract[English]
The invention relates to methods for treating ocular disease with a VEGF antagonist. In particular, the invention relates to methods for treating ocular disease, the method comprising selectively administering a VEGF antagonist to a subject in need thereof on the basis of said subject not having a preretinal or vitreous hyperreflective foci formation. The invention further relates to methods for determining whether a subject with ocular disease should be treated with a VEGF antagonist, methods of predicting the likelihood that a subject having ocular disease will develop intraocular inflammation in response to a treatment with a VEGF antagonist, and methods for producing a transmittable form of information for determining whether a subject with ocular disease should be treated with a VEGF antagonist or for predicting whether a subject with ocular disease may develop intraocular inflammation in response to a treatment with a VEGF antagonist.[French]
L'invention se rapporte à des méthodes destinées à traiter une maladie oculaire avec un antagoniste du VEGF. En particulier, l'invention se rapporte à des méthodes de traitement d'une maladie oculaire, la méthode consistant à adminsitrer sélectivement un antagoniste du VEGF à un sujet en ayant besoin sur la base dudit sujet n'ayant pas de formation de foyers hyperréfléchissants prérétiniens ou vitreux. L'invention se rapporte en outre à des procédés pour déterminer si un sujet atteint d'une maladie oculaire doit être traité avec un antagoniste du VEGF, des procédés de prédiction de la probabilité qu'un sujet atteint d’une maladie oculaire développe une inflammation intraoculaire en réponse à un traitement avec un antagoniste du VEGF, et des procédés de production d'une forme transmissible d'informations pour déterminer si un sujet atteint d'une maladie oculaire doit être traité avec un antagoniste du VEGF ou de prédiction si un sujet atteint d'une maladie oculaire peut développer une inflammation intraoculaire en réponse à un traitement avec un antagoniste du VEGF.
