Abstract[English]
A method and system for managing a user sound exposure are described herein. The method includes collecting raw audio data, calculating spectral data and a sound pressure level (SPL) from the raw audio data, comparing the calculated SPL to a predetermined threshold level of sound exposure, and applying one or more modifications to the SPL in response to a determination that the SPL is approaching the predetermined threshold level of sound exposure to ensure the SPL never reaches the predetermined threshold level of sound exposure.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de gestion d'une exposition au son d'un utilisateur. Le procédé consiste à collecter des données audio brutes, à calculer des données spectrales et un niveau de pression sonore (SPL) à partir des données audio brutes, à comparer le SPL calculé à un niveau seuil prédéterminé d'exposition sonore, et à appliquer une ou plusieurs modifications au SPL en réponse à une détermination que le SPL s'approche du niveau de seuil prédéterminé d'exposition sonore pour assurer que le SPL n'atteint jamais le niveau seuil prédéterminé d'exposition sonore.
