Abstract[English] The subject invention pertains to crystalline coordination polymers, such as Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks (ZIFs), having transition metals and large or unipolar imidazole derivatives. Specifically, vitamin b-12 co-factors are used to form a ZIF as porous supports to encapsulate drugs or other agents for biomedical applications. The ZIFs can be produced using exclusively non-toxic GRAS reagents and solvents in optimized proportions to promote crystallization over formation of amorphous polymers. A solvent mixture is identified to provide the appropriate balance of polarity and other factors while preparing crystalline coordination polymers involving imidazole derivatives, such as co-factors in vitamin-b-12. Appropriate formulations can include drugs of other agents for treatment of a human or animal.[French] La présente invention concerne des polymères de coordination cristallins, tels que des structures d'imidazolate zéolitique (ZIF), comportant des métaux de transition et des dérivés d'imidazole grands ou unipolaires. En particulier, des cofacteurs de vitamine b-12 sont utilisés pour former une ZIF en tant que supports poreux pour encapsuler des médicaments ou d'autres agents pour des applications biomédicales.
