Abstract[English]
This disclosure is an ergonomic sanitary bedpan for increasing the safety, hygiene, and also comfort of patients who have to use bedpans and at the same time, to help caregivers and facilitate their tasks. It comprises two main parts: a horseshoe shape seat (Chassis) and an ovate shape receptacle as a waste material container (Feces-Receptacle). This apparatus is equipped with: a bidet for rinsing patient`s underside after defecation/urination; an air-drying system, a smell-collector for decreasing the emission of the volatile gases of patient`s digestive system, an adjustable seat-warming and a seat-massaging system (vibrating seat) plus an electrical aroma-diffuser for refreshing the atmosphere around. All of the electrical options are built-in and work with 9V rechargeable DC batteries and can be operated either by a switch.[French]
La présente divulgation concerne un bassin de lit ergonomique et hygiénique destiné à augmenter la sécurité, l'hygiène et aussi le confort des patients qui doivent utiliser des bassins de lit et, parallèlement, à aider les soignants et à faciliter leurs tâches. Il comprend deux parties principales : un siège en forme de fer à cheval (châssis) et un réceptacle de forme ovale servant de récipient à déchets (réceptacle à matières fécales). Cet appareil est équipé d'un bidet pour rincer le bas du corps du patient après défécation/miction, d'un système de séchage à l'air, d'un collecteur d'odeurs pour réduire l'émission de gaz volatils du système digestif du patient, d'un siège chauffant réglable et d'un système de massage (siège vibrant), ainsi que d'un diffuseur d'arômes électrique pour rafraîchir l'atmosphère environnante. Toutes les options électriques sont intégrées et fonctionnent avec des piles CC rechargeables de 9 V et peuvent être actionnées par un interrupteur.
