Abstract[English]
A process for cooling a methane-rich gas wherein the gas is cooled in a heat exchanger by evaporation of a refrigerant fluid, particularly as the first stage of a liquefaction process. The refrigerant fluid is typically ammonia, carbon dioxide or propane. The refrigerant fluid enters the heat exchanger wholly in the liquid phase. Final condensation of the refrigerant fluid by heat exchange in a second colder stage of the liquefaction process. A second colder stage of the liquefaction process comprising a partly liquefying gas expander.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de refroidissement d'un gaz riche en méthane, le gaz étant refroidi dans un échangeur de chaleur par évaporation d'un fluide frigorigène, en particulier en tant que première étape d'un procédé de liquéfaction. Le fluide frigorigène est typiquement de l'ammoniac, du dioxyde de carbone ou du propane. Le fluide frigorigène entre dans l'échangeur de chaleur entièrement dans la phase liquide. La condensation finale du fluide frigorigène par échange de chaleur se produit dans une deuxième étape plus froide du procédé de liquéfaction. La deuxième étape plus froide du processus de liquéfaction comprend un détendeur de gaz partiellement liquéfiant.
