Abstract[English]
A method of recycling a waste catalyst coated membrane material comprising an ionomer membrane, at least one catalyst comprising platinum, palladium and/or ruthenium, and at least one catalyst comprising iridium, the method comprising: (a) treating the waste catalyst coated membrane material with a heated solution comprising an acid and an oxidant, wherein the platinum, palladium and/or ruthenium is leached from the waste catalyst coated membrane material into the solution which is separated from remaining solid components of the waste catalyst coated membrane material; (b) after step (a), leaching iridium from the waste catalyst coated membrane material using a heated solution comprising an acid and a reducing agent and separating the solution comprising the leached iridium from remaining solid components of the waste catalyst coated membrane material; and (c) after steps (a) and (b), treating the waste catalyst coated membrane material with a heated solvent to disperse the ionomer membrane and recover a dispersion of ionomer.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de recyclage d'un déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur comprenant une membrane ionomère, au moins un catalyseur comprenant du platine, du palladium et/ou du ruthénium, ainsi qu'au moins un catalyseur comprenant de l'iridium, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : (a) traiter le déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur avec une solution chauffée comprenant un acide et un oxydant, le platine, le palladium et/ou le ruthénium étant lixiviés, à partir du déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur dans la solution qui est séparée des composants solides restants du déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur ; (b) après l'étape (a), lixivier l'iridium à partir du déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur à l'aide d'une solution chauffée comprenant un acide et un agent réducteur et séparer la solution comprenant l'iridium lixivié des composants solides restants du déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur ; et (c) après les étapes (a) et (b), traiter le déchet membranaire revêtu de catalyseur avec un solvant chauffé pour disperser la membrane ionomère et récupérer une dispersion d'ionomère.
