Abstract[English]
A menstrual plug is provided, for insertion into a vagina, comprising an outer chamber with a fluid receiver, a drain, and a stopper. The stopper is attached to the outer chamber and is moveable between first and second positions. Movement of the stopper moves one or more apertures, such that in the first position, the aperture(s) is within the outer chamber and forms a seal to prevent fluid flow out of the drain. In the second position, the aperture(s) is external to the outer chamber and permits fluid flow out of the drain. The menstrual plug further comprises an actuator for moving the stopper between the first and second positions.[French]
L'invention concerne une coupelle menstruelle, destinée à être insérée dans un vagin, comprenant une chambre externe avec un récepteur de fluide, un drain et un bouchon. Le bouchon est fixé à la chambre externe et peut être déplacé entre des première et seconde positions. Le mouvement du bouchon déplace une ou plusieurs ouvertures, de telle sorte que, dans la première position, la ou les ouvertures se trouvent à l'intérieur de la chambre externe et forment un joint pour empêcher un écoulement de fluide hors du drain.
