Abstract[English]
There is provided a method of making a drill bit (10: 20) comprising a base portion (12:22) and a cutting portion (14: 24), the method comprising providing the base portion (12: 22) and the cutting portion (14: 24) as separate pieces, heat treating the cutting portion (14: 24) to form a cutting surface (16: 26) comprising braze material and abrasive particles, and after heat treatment attaching the base portion (12: 22) to the cutting portion (14: 24). The abrasive particles are substantially spherical diamond particles and have a diameter in the range 300-700 microns. A drill bit being a grinding pin or hole saw is also provided.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un trépan (10: 20) comprenant une partie base (12:22) et une partie coupe (14:24), le procédé consistant à fournir la partie base (12:22) et la partie coupe (14:24) en tant que pièces séparées, à traiter thermiquement la partie coupe (14:24) pour former une surface de coupe (16:26) comprenant un matériau de brasage et des particules abrasives, et après le traitement thermique à fixer la partie base (12:22) à la partie coupe (14:24).
