Abstract[English]
A digital coach (expressed as an apparatus, a method, a method of operation, or software) to accompany and coach a patient with a neurological disorder such as spinal cord injury (i) to perform physical activities, exercises and other physical training necessary as part of physical rehabilitation therapy, and/or (ii) to adapt a patient's rehabilitation program to better suit the patient or the patient's goals, and/or (iii) to determine adaptations of stimulation parameters for improved stimulation efficacy. In parallel with neurostimulation therapy, coached physical rehabilitation therapy enables the patient to regain at least partial control of body function lost due to the neurological disorder.[French]
L'invention concerne un entraîneur numérique (exprimé en tant qu'appareil, procédé, procédé de fonctionnement ou logiciel) pour accompagner et entraîner un patient atteint d'un trouble neurologique tel qu'une lésion de la moelle épinière (i) pour effectuer des activités physiques, des exercices et un autre entraînement physique nécessaire en tant que partie d'une thérapie de rééducation physique et/ou (ii) pour adapter le programme de rééducation d'un patient afin qu'il convienne mieux au patient ou aux objectifs du patient et/ou (iii) pour déterminer des adaptations de paramètres de stimulation pour une efficacité de stimulation améliorée. En parallèle avec une thérapie par neurostimulation, une thérapie de rééducation physique encadrée permet au patient de retrouver au moins un contrôle partiel de la fonction corporelle perdue en raison du trouble neurologique.
