Abstract[English] The present invention relates to a method for operating a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) stack, the SOEC having a fuel (cathode) side and an oxy (anode) side. The SOEC stack is adapted for at least steam electrolysis to hydrogen. The invention further relates to a system and a plant suitable for carrying out the method. Specifically, the invention relates to using methanol as a reducing agent or using methanol for supplying a reducing agent in an SOEC.[French] La présente invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un empilement de cellules d'électrolyse à oxyde solide (SOEC), la SOEC ayant un côté combustible (cathode) et un côté oxy (anode).
