Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen eines Alterungszustands von wenigstens einer Elektrolysezelle (12) einer Elektrolyseanlage (14), wobei die wenigstens eine Elektrolysezelle (12) mit einem vorgegebenen elektrischen Strom beaufschlagt wird, eine elektrische Zellenspannung (22) der wenigstens einen Elektrolysezelle (12) erfasst wird, der vorgegebene Strom zu einem vorgegebenen Abschaltzeitpunkt abgeschaltet wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird die in einem vorgegebenen Auswertezeitraum erfasste Zellenspannung (22) ausgewertet wird und abhängig vom Auswerten der Alterungszustand bestimmt, wobei ein Anfangszeitpunkt des Auswertezeitraums mit dem Abschaltzeitpunkt zeitlich zusammenfällt.[English]
