Es wird ein Verfahren zum Trocknen einer bedruckten Papierbahn (P) mittels einer Trockenstrecke (2) angegeben, wobei die Trockenstrecke (2) einen Vortrockner (8) und einen Haupttrockner (10) aufweist, wobei der Haupttrockner (10) bezüglich einer Förderrichtung (F) für die Papierbahn (P) stromab des Vortrockners (8) angeordnet ist, wobei die Papierbahn (P) mit dem Vortrockner (8) vorgetrocknet wird, wobei der Haupttrockner (10) ein Prallstrahltrockner ist, mit welchem die Papierbahn (P) heißluftgetrocknet wird, wobei der Vortrockner (8) im Vergleich zum Haupttrockner (10) eine geringere Anschlussleistung aufweist oder kürzer ist oder beides. Weiterhin wird eine entsprechende Trockenstrecke (2) angegeben.[English]
