Die Erfindung betrifft einen Steckverbinder (1), der ausgebildet ist zum Zusammenstecken mit einem Gegensteckverbinder (2) entlang einer Steckrichtung (z), der Steckverbinder (1) aufweisend: -- ein Gehäuse (3) mit einem Gehäuse-Innenraum (4); -- eine Mehrzahl von im Gehäuse-Innenraum (4) angeordneten Kontaktelementen (50); -- wenigstens ein im Gehäuse-Innenraum (4) angeordnetes Ethernet-Kontaktelement (5) mit einem daran angeschlossenen Ethernet-Kabel (6); -- eine Einzelkabel-Dichtung (7), die an dem Ethernet-Kabel (6) angeordnet ist und an ihrer Einzelkabel-Dichtungs-Außenseite (8) an einer Gehäuse-Dichtfläche (9) anliegt; -- eine, insbesondere runde oder ovale, Kappe (10) mit einer, insbesondere zentrischen, Öffnung (11), durch die das Ethernet-Kabel (6) hindurchgeführt ist; wobei die Kappe (10) am Gehäuse (3), insbesondere lösbar, befestigt ist, wobei die Kappe (10) und die Einzelkabel-Dichtung (7) unverlierbar miteinander gekoppelt sind.[English]
