Abstract[English]
The invention relates to a method for processing an audio signal during a transition between a first and a second downmixing mode of a stereophonic signal in order to obtain a monophonic signal, the processing method including the following steps: - applying a determined matching gain (501) to the signal resulting from the downmixing according to the second mode; - applying a crossfade (502), during a transition period, between the signal resulting from the downmixing according to the first mode and the signal resulting from the downmixing according to the second mode modified by applying the matching gain; - progressively varying the matching gain applied to the signal resulting from the second processing mode during the transition period and/or beyond the transition period until converging towards a value of one. The invention also relates to a processing device implementing the method.[French]
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement d'un signal audio lors d'une transition entre un premier et un deuxième mode de traitement de réduction de canaux d'un signal stéréophonique pour obtenir un signal monophonique, le procédé de traitement comportant les étapes suivantes: - application d'un gain d'adaptation déterminé (501), au signal issu du traitement de réduction de canaux selon le deuxième mode; - application d'un fondu enchainé (502), pendant une durée de transition, entre le signal issu du traitement de réduction de canaux selon le premier mode et le signal issu du traitement de réduction selon le deuxième mode modifié par l'application du gain d'adaptation; - variation progressive du gain d'adaptation appliqué au signal issu du deuxième mode de traitement pendant la durée de transition et/ou au-delà de la durée de transition jusqu'à converger vers une valeur de un.
