Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Anzeige manövrierrelevanter Hilfslinien (10) in einem Display (20) eines Fahrzeugs (30), wobei das Verfahren aufweist: einen ersten Schritt zum Erzeugen eines Kamerabildes (45) mittels einer an dem Fahrzeug (30) angeordneten Kamera (40), wobei in dem Kamerabild (45) sowohl ein Umfeld (50) des Fahrzeugs (30) als auch ein kollisionsrelevanter Teil (32) des Fahrzeugs (30) erfasst ist, einen zweiten Schritt zum Ermitteln einer Außenkontur (34) des kollisionsrelevanten Teils (32) des Fahrzeugs (30) und einen dritten Schritt zum Anzeigen des Kamerabildes (45) in dem Display (20) des Fahrzeugs (30), wobei dem Kamerabild (45) wenigstens eine für einen Manövriervorgang vorgesehene Hilfslinie (10) überlagert wird, welche sich ausgehend von der Außenkontur (34) des kollisionsrelevanten Teils (32) des Fahrzeugs (30) in das Umfeld (50) des Fahrzeugs (30) erstreckt.[English]
