Ein Verfahren und eine zugehörige Steuerungsvorrichtung zum Steuern eines zumindest zeitweise durch Muskelkraft betreibbaren Fahrzeugs (1) sind angegeben, wobei das Fahrzeug (1) eine durch eine elektrische Maschine betreibbare Antriebseinrichtung (5) und eine durch Muskelkraft betreibbare Kurbeleinrichtung (4) aufweist, um die Antriebskraft der elektrischen Maschine und die in die Kurbeleinrichtung (4) eingeleitete Muskelkraft auf ein Antriebsrad (3) des Fahrzeugs (1) zu übertragen, wobei zumindest die Antriebseinrichtung (5) auf der Grundlage von Betriebsparametern des Fahrzeugs (1) gesteuert wird.
