Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Beschichtungsanlage (5) zum Beschichten eines Substrats (6) mit einem fließfähigen oder pastösen Beschichtungsmaterial (1). Dabei wird eine Beschichtungsdüse (7) zum Ausbringen des Beschichtungsmaterials (1) verwendet, die eine Ausbringöffnung (8) aufweist, deren Breite (16) kleiner als eine vorgegebene Sollbreite (17) der Beschichtung (1) ist. Die Ausbringöffnung (8) wird so nahe an dem Substrat (8) angeordnet, dass damit letztlich die Beschichtung (1) in der vorgegebenen Sollbreite (17) erzeugt werden kann. Es wird dann eine Relativbewegung zwischen der Beschichtungsdüse (7) und dem Substrat (6) erzeugt und das Beschichtungsmaterial (1) durch die Ausbringöffnung (8) ausgebracht, um das Substrat (6) mit dem Beschichtungsmaterial (1) zu beschichten.[English]
