Abstract[English] The invention relates to a method for controlling a motor vehicle comprising a computer and at least two axles each provided with a powertrain and wheels, the control method comprising the steps of: - acquiring a general request relating to a total torque (C) that the powertrains must transmit to the wheels; - distributing the general request as particular setpoints each assigned to one of the powertrains; and - controlling the powertrains according to the particular setpoints; according to the invention, in the distributing step, provision is made to: - determine, according to a grip limit (Cad) for the wheels of a first of the axles on the ground, a preventive value (Cp,r) for the particular setpoint assigned to the powertrain of a second of the axles; and - determine the particular setpoint assigned to the powertrain of a second of the axles according to the preventive value.[French] L'invention concerne un procédé de pilotage d'un véhicule automobile comportant un calculateur et au moins deux essieux équipés chacun d'un groupe motopropulseur et des roues, le procédé de pilotage comprenant des étapes de : - acquisition d'une requête générale relative à un couple total (C) que les groupes motopropulseurs doivent transmettre aux roues, - répartition de ladite requête générale en consignes particulières affectées chacune à l'un des groupes motopropulseurs, et - pilotage des groupes motopropulseurs selon lesdits consignes particulières, Selon l'invention, à l'étape de répartition, il est prévu de : - déterminer, en fonction d'une limite d'adhérence (Cad) des roues d'un premier des essieux sur le sol, une valeur préventive (Cp,r) pour la consigne particulière affectée au groupe motopropulseur d'un second des essieux, et - déterminer la consigne particulière affectée au groupe motopropulseur d'un second des essieux en fonction de la valeur préventive.
