Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Durchführen von Zugriffen von einer zweiten Recheneinheit (120) auf eine erste Recheneinheit (110) mittels einer Verwaltungseinheit, wobei in der ersten Recheneinheit (110) eine Vielzahl von virtuellen Recheneinheiten (115) implementiert ist, wobei die erste Recheneinheit (110) und die zweite Recheneinheit (120) über die Verwaltungseinheit (100) in Verbindung stehen, wobei die Verwaltungseinheit (100) jeweils einen Konfigurations-Speicherbereich und einen Ausgabe-Speicherbereich der ersten Recheneinheit (110) für jede der virtuellen Recheneinheiten (115) konfiguriert, wobei die erste Recheneinheit (110) Daten, die in einem jeweiligen Konfigurations-Speicherbereich identifiziert sind, in den jeweiligen Ausgabe-Speicherbereich für die virtuelle Recheneinheit (115) schreibt. In Reaktion auf eine Leseanforderung der zweiten Recheneinheit (120) identifiziert die Verwaltungseinheit (100) Daten in einem jeweiligen Konfigurations-Speicherbereich in Abhängigkeit von der Leseanforderung und liest die Daten aus dem jeweiligen Ausgabe-Speicherbereich und stellt sie an die zweite Recheneinheit (120) bereit.
