Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Regeln der Masse eines Faserbandes (FB) in einem integrierten Streckwerk (1) einer Karde (K), aufweisend ein Eingangsmesswalzenpaar (6a, 6b) vor einem Hauptverzugsfeld des Streckwerks, sowie aufweisend ein Ausgangsmesswalzenpaar (15a, 15b) nach dem Hauptverzugsfeld, wobei die Masse des Faserbandes (FB) am Eingangsmesswalzenpaar (15a, 15b) die Führungsgröße und der Verzug des Streckwerks die Stellgröße bildet, wobei eine Änderung der Masse des Faserbandes (FB) am Eingangsmesswalzenpaar (6a, 6b) in der Steuerung der Karde (K) eine Änderung der Stellgröße bewirkt, und die Größe der Änderung der Stellgröße in der Steuerung der Karde (K) durch einen Graphen oder Kurve abgespeichert ist, die durch mindestens zwei Parameter gebildet wird.
