Abstract[English]
Methods are described for the biomarker-based identification of a change in the amount of visceral adipose tissue (VAT) in individuals with a healthy BMI and a healthy waist circumference. The early identification of VAT changes using commonly measured clinical biomarkers when incorporated with exercise and nutritional advice enables the expeditious implementation of the END approach (Exercise Nutrition & Diagnostics) to manage the burgeoning overweight and obesity pandemic.[French]
L'invention concerne des procédés pour l'identification basée sur un biomarqueur d'un changement de la quantité de tissu adipeux viscéral (VAT) chez des individus présentant un IMC sain et une circonférence de taille saine. L'identification précoce de changements de VAT à l'aide de biomarqueurs cliniques couramment mesurés lorsqu'elle est incorporée à des conseils d'exercice et de nutrition permet la mise en œuvre accélérée de l'approche END (exercice, nutrition et diagnostic) pour gérer la pandémie de surpoids et d'obésité en plein essor.
