The invention relates to an endoscope device (10) comprising: a shaft (12) with a cable feedthrough (14) which extends from a proximal side (16) of the shaft (12) to a distal side (18) of the shaft (12); a ribbon cable (20) which extends through the cable feedthrough (14) from the proximal side (16) to the distal side (18), wherein the ribbon cable (20) comprises a contact section (24) with at least three cable contacts (26) on the proximal side (16), and the cable contacts (26) are arranged one behind the other with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ribbon cable (20); and a socket (28) which is arranged on the proximal side (16) of the shaft (12) and which comprises a cable receiving area (30) that is designed to receive the contact section (24) of the ribbon cable (20). The cable receiving area (30) has at least three socket contacts (32) which are arranged one behind the other with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cable receiving area (30) and so as to correspond to the cable contacts (26).
