Ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Warnsystems eines aus einer Parklücke ausparkenden Fahrzeugs in Abhängigkeit von Umgebungsinformationen eines benachbarten Fahrzeugs umfasst ein Empfangen von Umgebungsdaten von einem Sensor des ausparkenden Fahrzeugs, wobei die Umgebungsdaten eine Umgebung des ausparkenden Fahrzeugs beschreiben. Ferner umfasst das Verfahren ein Bestimmen eines nichteinsehbaren Bereichs in der Umgebung anhand der Umgebungsdaten, wobei der nichteinsehbare Bereich aufgrund des benachbarten Fahrzeugs nicht durch die Umgebungsdaten beschrieben wird. Das Verfahren umfasst zudem ein Empfangen von Umgebungsinformationen, welche von dem benachbarten Fahrzeug bereitgestellt werden und welche zumindest ein herannahendes Objekt in zumindest einem Teil des nichteinsehbaren Bereichs beschreiben. A method for operating a warning system of a vehicle leaving a parking space depending on environmental information of an adjacent vehicle comprises receiving environmental data from a sensor of the vehicle leaving the parking space, wherein the environmental data describe the environment of the vehicle leaving the parking space. The method furthermore comprises determining a region, which cannot be viewed, in the environment based on the environmental data, wherein the region which cannot be viewed is not described by the environmental data because of the adjacent vehicle. The method also comprises receiving environmental information which is provided by the adjacent vehicle and which describes at least one approaching object in at least part of the region which cannot be viewed. Finally, the method comprises outputting a warning signal depending on the environmental information, wherein the warning signal is used to warn a user of the vehicle leaving the parking space and/or to warn a driver assistance system of the vehicle leaving the parking space.[French]
