Die Erfindung betrifft eine Haushalts-Geschirrspülmaschine (1) mit einem Spülbehälter (2), einem Sprüharm (18) zum Beaufschlagen von in dem Spülbehälter (2) aufgenommenem Spülgut mit Spülflotte und/oder Frischwasser (F), einer Antriebseinrichtung (27) zum aktiven Antreiben des Sprüharms (18), einer Umwälzpumpe (30) zum Transport von Spülflotte und/oder Frischwasser (F), und einer Steuerungseinrichtung (31) zum Ansteuern der Antriebseinrichtung (27) und der Umwälzpumpe (30), wobei die Steuerungseinrichtung (31) die Umwälzpumpe (30) während eines Spülbetriebs der Haushalts-Geschirrspülmaschine (1) derart ansteuert, dass die Spülflotte und/oder das Frischwasser (F) impulsartig aus dem Sprüharm (18) austritt.[English]
