Polymers, obtainable from a) the polycondensation of diols A with mercaptosuccinic acid, and b) the subsequent radical copolymerisation of the thiol-group-containing polyester obtainable in step a) with monoethylenically unsaturated monomers B, are suitable as builder substances for washing and cleaning agents.[French]
