Abstract[English] The present invention relates to a process for producing of free fatty acids comprising a) hydrolyzing fatty acid feedstock with lipase and water in an amount sufficient to produce partial splitting of the fatty acid feedstock in a reactor; and b) mixing said partially split fatty acid mixture in a thermal splitter column under conditions of temperature and pressure effective to substantially complete the splitting of the fatty acid feedstock into free fatty acid and glycerol as by-product.[French] La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'acides gras libres comprenant a) l'hydrolyse d'une charge d'alimentation d'acide gras avec une lipase et de l'eau en une quantité suffisante pour produire une division partielle de la charge d'alimentation d'acide gras dans un réacteur ; et b) le mélange dudit mélange d'acide gras partiellement divisé dans une colonne de diviseur thermique dans des conditions de température et de pression efficaces pour achever sensiblement la division de la charge d'alimentation d'acide gras en acide gras libre et glycérol en tant que sous-produit.
