Abstract[English]
The present invention provides improved crops of the family Asteraceae which have a reduced level of bitter taste secondary metabolites, particularly a reduced level of guaianolide sesquiterpene lactones such as kauniolide. More particularly the invention provides means and methods for generating Asteraceae crops having a deficiency in kauniolide synthase activity.[French]
La présente invention concerne des cultures améliorées de la famille des Asteraceae qui ont un niveau réduit de métabolites secondaires de goût amer, en particulier un niveau réduit de lactones sesquiterpènes de guaianolide tel que le kauniolide. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne des moyens et des procédés pour générer des cultures d'Asteraceae ayant une déficience en activité de kauniolide synthase.
