Abstract[English]
method for differentiating a population of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) into a population of neural cells, wherein neuronal differentiation in said hPSCs is induced by the inhibition of the Small Mothers Against Decapentaplegic (SMAD) signaling pathway by culturing the population of hPSCs in a culture medium comprising two or more inducing factors consisting of two or more inhibitors of the SMAD signaling pathway, wherein a. at least one inhibitor of the SMAD signaling pathway is an inhibitor of a BMP ligand and b. at least one inhibitor of the SMAD signaling pathway is an inhibitor of a BMP receptor, and c. none of the inhibitors of the SMAD signaling pathway is a direct inhibitor of the TGFβ pathway.[French]
