A method, performed by one or more apparatuses, is disclosed, the method comprising: detecting one or more resolutions useable for capturing one or more frames with a camera of an apparatus; setting a detected resolution for capturing one or more frames relating to an optical pattern using the camera of the apparatus, the set resolution being greater than one or more further resolutions useable for capturing one or more frames with the camera of the apparatus; capturing one or more frames relating to an optical pattern using the camera of the apparatus and using the set resolution; and processing the one or more captured frames for extracting data represented by the optical pattern. A corresponding system, corresponding apparatuses and corresponding computer programs are disclosed.[French]
