Embodiments of the present invention relate to a lighting assembly (10) for a household appliance and a household appliance (80) having the same. The lighting assembly (10) includes: a bracket (12) including a through hole (14); a lampshade (16), where the lampshade (16) and the bracket (12) define a space (18) and the lampshade (16) includes a plate-shaped light outgoing portion (20); a circuit board (22) mounted on the bracket (12) and located outside the space (18); a light emitting device (24) mounted on the circuit board (22); and a lens (26) covering the light emitting device (24) to refract light from the light emitting device (24), where the lens (26) is located within the space (18) through the through hole (14). The embodiments of the present invention may lower a space requirement, ensure a lighting effect, and so on.[French]
