A power plant optimization system (300), a computer implemented method employing the power plant optimization system ( 300 ), and a computer program product executing instructions defined by the computer implemented method for optimizing a power plant (100) are provided. The power plant optimization system (300) comprises a data acquisition module (301) that obtains a capacity of the power plant (100) for generating power, and a data processing module (302) that probabilistically determines, based on power plant data associated with multiple power plants (100) and the capacity, an optimal size for valve (s) (201-204) deployable in the power plant (100), and generates, based on the optimal size, a recommendation for design of the valve (s) (201-204) deployable in the power plant (100).[French]
