A battery device (10) for providing different electrical voltage levels to be used by different electrical consumer devices, particularly for use in a motor vehicle, particularly a utility vehicle or a commercial vehicle, comprises at least one battery storage unit (20, 40), wherein each battery storage unit (20, 40) comprises a low voltage terminal (BAT LOW) and a high voltage terminal (BAT HIGH), wherein one or more battery storage units (20, 40) of the at least one battery storage unit (20, 40) comprise at least one intermediate voltage terminal (BAT MID) which is connected between the low voltage terminal (BAT LOW) and the high voltage terminal (BAT HIGH) of the respective battery storage unit (20, 40). Each battery storage unit (20, 40) can comprise a plurality of battery cells (C1, C2,... Cn) connected in series with each other between the low voltage terminal (BAT LOW) and the high voltage terminal (BAT HIGH), wherein each battery cell (C1, C2,... On) provides a predetermined voltage, and wherein the at least one intermediate voltage terminal (BAT MID) is connected between two adjacent battery cells of the plurality of battery cells (01, 02,...
