Aspects concern a computer-assisted system for object identification based on one or more sensors positioned to detect objects on a platform and to identify the type or class associated with each object. Upon identification that an object is intended to be retrieved from the platform for various purposes including recycling, the object is tracked and, in some embodiments, lights are illuminated on the object to facilitate retrieval.[French]
