Par ailleurs, l'efficacité améliorée de PAGRU pourrait être obtenue à de faibles coûts économiques, étant donné que le CapEx et l'OpEx pourraient être abaissés de plus de 50 % des unités d'élimination de gaz acide existant actuellement dans l'industrie de traitement de gaz naturel.
