Abstract[English]
According to the present invention there is provided a method of assessing constituent components of a composite structure (10). The composite structure (10) comprises a plurality of layers of fibre material (12) embedded in a thermoset epoxy matrix having a cross-linked network structure. The method comprises exposing the composite structure to a treatment fluid (22) to at least partially degrade the thermoset epoxy matrix. The treatment fluid (22) comprises formic acid and/or acetic acid. The method further comprises temporarily restraining the composite structure during exposure to the treatment fluid to maintain the order and/ or orientation and/or number of the layers of fibre material. Further, the method includes separating one or more layers of fibre material from one or more other layers of fibre material to thereby assess the constituent components of the composite structure (10).[French]
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'évaluation d'éléments constitutifs d'une structure composite (10). La structure composite (10) comprend une pluralité de couches de matériau fibreux (12) incorporées dans une matrice époxy thermodurcie ayant une structure de réseau réticulé. Le procédé consiste à exposer la structure composite à un fluide de traitement (22) pour au moins partiellement dégrader la matrice époxy thermodurcie. Le fluide de traitement (22) comprend de l'acide formique et/ou de l'acide acétique. Le procédé consiste en outre à immobiliser temporairement la structure composite pendant l'exposition au fluide de traitement pour maintenir l'ordre et/ou l'orientation et/ou le nombre des couches de matériau fibreux. En outre, le procédé consiste à séparer une ou plusieurs couches de matériau fibreux d'une ou de plusieurs autres couches de matériau fibreux pour ainsi évaluer les éléments constitutifs de la structure composite (10).
