Die Erfindung betrifft ein Profilbauteil (3) für eine Karosserie (1) eines Fahrzeugs, mit einem Hohlquerschnitt (Q), und mit wenigstens zwei in dem Hohlquerschnitt (Q) angeordneten und in Längserstreckungsrichtung des Profilbauteils (3) voneinander beabstandeten Schottelementen (6, 7), welche einen in Längserstreckungsrichtung des Profilbauteils (3) zwischen den Schottelementen (6, 7) verlaufenden Teilbereich (T) des Hohlquerschnitts (Q) in Längserstreckungsrichtung des Profilbauteils (3) begrenzen, wobei das Profilbauteil (3) ein aus einem einzigen Stück gebildetes, einen ersten Längenbereich (L1) des Hohlquerschnitts (Q) bildendes und die Schottelemente (6, 7) aufweisendes erstes Profilelement (P1) und wenigstens ein sich in Längserstreckungsrichtung des Profilbauteils (3) an das erste Profilelement (P1) anschließendes, separat von dem ersten Profilelement (P1) ausgebildetes und mit dem ersten Profilelement (P1) verbundenes und einen in Längserstreckungsrichtung des Profilbauteils (3) auf den ersten Längenbereich (L1) folgenden zweiten Längenbereich (L2) des Hohlquerschnitts (Q) bildendes zweites Profilelement (P2) aufweist.[English]
