Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Anzeigevorrichtung (1) mit zwei Betriebsarten. Die Erfindung betrifft zudem ein Fortbewegungsmittel mit einer solchen Anzeigevorrichtung (1). Die Anzeigevorrichtung (1) weist ein Anzeigepaneel (2), eine erste Hinterleuchtung (5), eine zweite Hinterleuchtung (6) und ein zwischen der ersten Hinterleuchtung (5) und der zweiten Hinterleuchtung (6) angeordnetes Element (7) zur Einschränkung einer Winkelverteilung des von der zweiten Hinterleuchtung (6) abgestrahlten Lichtes auf. Das Anzeigepaneel (2) weist einen aus Sicht eines Betrachters vorderseitig angeordneten ersten Polfilter (3) und einen aus Sicht des Betrachters rückseitig angeordneten zweiten Polfilter (4) auf.
