Die Erfindung betrifft ein System (1), insbesondere Lenksystem (1), für ein Fahrzeug, mit einem ersten Teilsystem (10) und einem zweiten Teilsystem (20), die identisch ausgebildet sind, wobei das erste und das zweite Teilsystem (10, 20) derart konfiguriert sind, dass sie ihren eigenen Zustand ermitteln und dem jeweiligen anderen Teilsystem (20,10) mitteilen, wobei das System (1) ferner dazu eingerichtet ist, dass sich - in einem Normalbetriebsmodus - das erste Teilsystem (10) in einem ersten Zustand befindet während sich das zweite Teilsystem (20) in einem zweiten Zustand befindet, wobei sich der zweite Zustand von dem ersten Zustand unterscheidet, insbesondere durch einen vorgegebenen Mindest-Zustandsabstand unterscheidet. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines derartigen Systems (1).[English]
