Die Erfindung betrifft ein Werkzeug (1) zum Bearbeiten einer Wickelmatte (2), die zum Stromleiten in einem Stator einer Elektromaschine vorgesehen ist, wobei das Werkzeug (1 ) zwei voneinander entfernbare Backen (3) besitzt, die jeweils eine Vielzahl von Vorsprüngen (4) zum Eingreifen in die durch einen Draht (5) aufgebaute Wickelmatte (2) besitzt, wobei ein Beabstandungsmechanismus (6) zwischen den Backen (3) vorhanden ist, um bei zunehmender Beabstandung der Backen (3) eine Längung gerader Strecken (7) des Drahtes (5) der Wickelmatte (2) bei entsprechenden Verkürzungen der beiden Wickelmattenseitigen Wickelköpfe (8) zu verursachen. Auch betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Bearbeiten einer Wickelmatte (2) aus einem Draht (5) zum Strom leiten in einem Stator, wobei die Wickelmatte (2) zuerst aus einem Draht (5) gewickelt wird und danach gezielt erste Abschnitte (19) des Drahtes (5) gelängt und/oder verbogen werden und zweite Abschnitte (23) des Drahtes (5) enger zueinander angeordnet und/oder verbogen werden, um einen mittleren Abschnitt (18) der Wickelmatte (2) zwischen zwei Wickelköpfen (8) zu längen und die Wickelköpfe (8) zu verkürzen.[English]
