Abstract[English]
This invention relates in general to patient support apparatuses in healthcare and nursing facilities having casters attached to a base frame or undercarriage of a patient support apparatuses, and an accessory or driven fifth wheel, and particularly to control assembly for deployment and retraction of such fifth driven wheel. This control assembly can be controlled by pedals of central caster control mechanism or also by a servomotor attached to the central caster control mechanism, the position of fifth driven wheel is thus controlled simultaneously with controlling of casters of patient support apparatus.[French]
La présente invention concerne de manière générale des appareils de support de patient dans des installations de soins de santé et de soins infirmiers ayant des roulettes fixées à un cadre de base ou un châssis d'un appareil de support de patient, et un accessoire ou une cinquième roue entraînée, et en particulier un ensemble de commande pour le déploiement et la rétraction de ladite cinquième roue entraînée. Cet ensemble de commande peut être commandé par des pédales de mécanisme de commande de roulette centrale ou également par un servomoteur fixé au mécanisme de commande de roulette centrale, la position de la cinquième roue entraînée est ainsi commandée simultanément avec la commande de roulettes d'un appareil de support de patient.
