Abstract[English]
Input bits are encoded by a polar code to obtain encoded bits. The polar code provides or includes bit indices for placing bit values before encoding. The bit indices include a first set of bit indices for values of the input bits and a second set of bit indices for a predetermined bit value. The first set and the input bits may be referred to as an information set and the second set may be referred to as a frozen set, for example. Each bit index of the first set or the second set is selected from one of multiple ordered subsequences of bit indices. The ordered subsequences together include all of the bit indices of the polar code. The selection of each bit index from an ordered subsequence is based on an order of the bit indices in an ordered sequence that includes all of the bit indices.[French]
