Abstract[English]
The disclosed systems and methods are for reducing polarization dependent loss in an optical link including: i) changing, by a state of polarization (SOP) controller, an SOP of an optical signal propagating in the optical link; ii) computing, by a link controller, a polarization dependent loss (PDL) in a portion of the optical link; iii) generating, by the link controller, a control signal according to the PDL; and iv) based on the control signal, changing, by the SOP controller, the SOP of the optical signal.[French]
Les systèmes et les procédés divulgués sont destinés à réduire la perte dépendant de la polarisation dans une liaison optique et consistent en : i) le changement, par un dispositif de commande d'état de polarisation (SOP), d'un SOP d'un signal optique se propageant dans la liaison optique ; ii) le calcul, par un dispositif de commande de liaison, d'une perte dépendant de la polarisation (PDL) dans une partie de la liaison optique ; iii) la génération, par le dispositif de commande de liaison, d'un signal de commande selon la PDL ; et iv) sur la base du signal de commande, le changement, par le dispositif de commande de SOP, du SOP du signal optique.
