Abstract[English]
The present disclosure provides for methods, systems and apparatus related to WLAN enhanced channel map advertisements. An aspect of the disclosure provides for a method for discovering a network. The method includes sending a discovery request to an access point for discovering a network, the discovery request requesting for: available channels of access points within a radio range of the device, one or more access network operators for the available channels, and one or more service providers for the available channels. The method further includes receiving from the access point a response message including one or more lists indicative of: the available channels, the one or more access network operators, and the one or more service providers. In some embodiments, the response message is based on one of:internal data of the access point, and databases indicative access network operators and service providers.[French]
La présente divulgation concerne des procédés, systèmes et appareils associés à des publicités de carte de canal améliorées par WLAN. Un aspect de la divulgation concerne un procédé de découverte d'un réseau. Le procédé consiste à envoyer une demande de découverte à un point d'accès pour découvrir un réseau, la demande de découverte demandant : des canaux disponibles de points d'accès dans une plage radio du dispositif, un ou plusieurs opérateurs de réseau d'accès pour les canaux disponibles et un ou plusieurs fournisseurs de services relatifs aux canaux disponibles. Le procédé consiste en outre à recevoir du point d'accès un message de réponse comprenant une ou plusieurs listes indiquant : les canaux disponibles, ledit opérateur de réseau d'accès et ledit fournisseur de service. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le message de réponse est basé soit sur des données internes du point d'accès, soit sur des bases de données indiquant des opérateurs de réseau d'accès et des fournisseurs de services.
